A most unusual 50 year old copy - A similar one sold recently for over R 5,000 elsewhere - Good condition - The 1st British edition was in 1968 but this was published 2 years earlier in the U.S.A.  Wiki says >>> The Magic Finger is a fantasy story written by Roald Dahl in 1962. It was first published in the United States, by Harper & Row in 1966, as a picture book illustrated by William Pène du Bois. - Before that it had been rejected by another publisher. Later Allen & Unwin published a Pène du Bois edition in the U.K. in 1968. Subsequent editions have been illustrated by Pat Marriott, Tony Ross, and Quentin Blake.
