Growing Tips

Planting Time:
Spring (August—October), once danger of frost has passed and soil is warm.

Position:
Choose a sunny, sheltered spot receiving at least 6 hours of sunlight a day. Perfect for containers, small beds, and patio borders.

Soil:
Rich, compost-enriched soil that drains well. Slightly acidic to neutral pH (6.0—7.0) is best.

Watering:
Water regularly to keep soil evenly moist, especially during hot periods. Avoid waterlogging.

Feeding:
Feed with a potassium-rich liquid fertiliser every 2—3 weeks during flowering season.

Care & Maintenance:
Deadhead regularly to promote new blooms. Pinch tips early for a bushier shape. No staking necessary thanks to its sturdy, compact habit.

Overwintering:
In colder regions, lift and store tubers after the first frost. In mild climates, they may overwinter in-ground with mulch cover.
