DAHLIA FIGARO

Dahlia Figaro is the best quality dwarf double flowered variety. Growing to just 30cm tall with green-foliage it is compact and uniform. They freely produce flowers in an amazing range of colours with a high percentage of fully double blooms. Dahlia Figaro is useful for bedding displays or as a striking container plant.

Dahlias are straightforward to produce from seed they will flower twelve weeks from sowing until first frosts. Seed-raised Dahlias flower well especially towards the autumn, after which the tops will die off. They are generally treated as annuals though they produce a tuber to survive the winter, which can be dug up, stored and replanted the following year.

Care: Provide full sun and well-drained soil. In hotter areas some shade is preferred. Deadhead regularly. To overwinter tubers, dig them up after the first frost, clean them, and allow them to dry. Store in slightly moisted sand, peat, or sawdust and store in a cool but frost-free place.

Propagation: Divide in spring by using a sharp knife to sever tubers, ensuring that each division has at least one eye.
