The Dahua IPC-HFW2441T-ZS 4MP WizSense Varifocal Bullet IP Camera combines detailed surveillance video, intelligent human and vehicle classification and a remotely adjustable lens in a durable outdoor-ready housing. It is suitable for monitoring entrances, driveways, parking areas, boundaries, loading areas and other locations where the installer needs control over both the viewing angle and the level of detail.
Its motorised 2.713.5 mm varifocal lens can be adjusted through the camera or recorder interface, allowing the image to be changed from a broad overview to a narrower view for monitoring subjects at greater distances.

- Detailed 4MP surveillance video. Captures up to 2688 × 1520 resolution at 20 frames per second and supports 2560 × 1440 at up to 25 or 30 frames per second.
- Motorised varifocal lens. The 2.713.5 mm lens can be adjusted remotely during installation without manually turning a lens ring.
- Wide-to-narrow viewing adjustment. Provides an approximate horizontal field of view from 104° at the wide setting to 29° at the telephoto setting.
- Up to 60 m infrared illumination. Four built-in IR LEDs support night-time monitoring when there is insufficient visible light.
- WizSense human and vehicle classification. SMD Plus helps categorise motion events caused by people and vehicles while filtering less relevant movement.
- Intelligent perimeter protection. Supports intrusion and tripwire rules with human and vehicle classification.
- Clearer backlit images. 120 dB Wide Dynamic Range helps retain detail where bright and dark areas appear in the same scene.
- Built-in microphone. Audio can be recorded with the video when audio recording is enabled on the camera or compatible recorder.
- Efficient video storage. Smart H.265+ and Smart H.264+ compression help reduce bandwidth and storage requirements.
- Local recording support. Accepts a compatible microSD memory card of up to 256 GB, sold separately.
- Flexible power options. Operates from a suitable 12V DC supply or IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet connection.
- Outdoor-ready construction. The metal housing carries an IP67 ingress-protection rating for exposed indoor or outdoor installations.
Did You Know?
- At the 2.7 mm wide setting, the published DORI distances are: Detect 64 m, Observe 25.6 m, Recognise 12.8 m and Identify 6.4 m.
- At the 13.5 mm telephoto setting, the published DORI distances are: Detect 210 m, Observe 84 m, Recognise 42 m and Identify 21 m.
- DORI stands for Detect, Observe, Recognise and Identify. These are standard EN 62676-4 viewing benchmarks and are not guaranteed intelligent human or vehicle detection distances. Installation height, scene lighting, target movement and image angle still affect practical performance.
- The 60 m infrared specification describes the maximum IR illumination distance. It does not mean a person can necessarily be identified at 60 m. At the wide lens setting, the published identification benchmark is 6.4 m; at full telephoto, it is 21 m.
- A varifocal lens does not automatically track or zoom in on moving subjects. The installer selects the required focal length during setup, after which the camera records that chosen view.
- The built-in microphone records sound at the camera, but the ZS model does not have separate connections for an external microphone, speaker or alarm device.
- A microSD card can provide local recording or event backup, but it is not supplied and must be selected separately.
Compatibility & Installation
Compatible with supported Dahua NVRs and network video systems. It also supports ONVIF Profiles S, G and T for integration with suitable third-party recorders and software.
The camera can be managed using compatible Dahua platforms such as DMSS, SmartPSS Lite and DSS. Recording can be directed to a compatible NVR, FTP or SFTP destination, or an installed microSD card, depending on the system configuration.
Power can be supplied through a compatible PoE switch or injector, or through a regulated 12V DC power supply. Only one power method should be used.
This listing is for the ZS model. It includes a built-in microphone but does not provide the separate RCA audio input/output or external alarm input/output connections found on the ZAS version.
For outdoor installation, all cable joints must be properly weatherproofed. A suitable junction box is recommended where the network and power connections cannot be protected inside the mounting surface. Professional installation and network configuration are recommended.
