The Dahua DHI-ARD333-W2(868S) Wireless Door Detector monitors the opening and closing of a compatible non-metal door as part of a Dahua 868MHz wireless alarm system. When the protected door is opened while the system is armed, the detector reports the event to the connected alarm hub.
Its slim white housing, battery-powered design and supplied mounting accessories make it suitable for discreet indoor installations in homes, apartments, offices and shops.
Key Features
- Detects door-opening events. A built-in reed switch monitors the distance between the main detector and magnetic contact.
- Supports practical installation tolerances. The detector supports a movement distance of less than 40mm, depending on the mounting direction and surface.
- Provides an additional wired input. A one-channel external digital input allows a compatible wired detector or contact to report through the wireless door detector.
- Maintains secure wireless communication. Two-way communication, AES128 encryption and frequency hopping help provide a stable link to the alarm hub.
- Supports long-range placement. Communication can reach up to 1,400 metres in an unobstructed open environment.
- Reports tampering and battery condition. The alarm system can notify the user if the detector is removed, opened or running low on battery power.
- Monitors the surrounding temperature. The compatible alarm system can display the indoor temperature measured by the detector.
- Supports extended battery operation. A single CR123A battery offers a manufacturer-rated life of up to approximately 4.6 years under the stated test conditions.
- Simplifies installation testing. Signal-strength and detector-test functions help verify the installation position before final mounting.
- Supports remote maintenance. Cloud firmware updates and automatic recovery following an unsuccessful update are supported.
Compatibility & App Support
This is the 868MHz version and requires a compatible Dahua 868MHz wireless alarm hub. It can be added and configured through the supported DMSS or Dolynk Care app.
Available functions may include instant, delayed, 24-hour and follow-zone operation, Home Mode, doorbell linkage to a compatible indoor siren, alarm-video linkage, temperature monitoring, signal testing and external wired-input configuration.
This detector is not a standalone Wi-Fi device and cannot send alerts without a compatible Dahua alarm hub. It is specified for indoor installation on suitable non-metal doors.

Did You Know?
- The detector includes an external wired input, allowing a suitable third-party contact or detector to communicate through the Dahua wireless alarm system.
- The optional doorbell function can make a compatible Dahua indoor siren produce a ding-dong sound when the door is opened.
- The detector can be configured as a 24-hour zone, allowing it to report opening events even when the main alarm system is otherwise disarmed.
- Alarm events can be linked to selected Dahua camera channels through a compatible hub. The door detector itself does not contain a camera.
