UNUSUAL ELLIPTICAL VINTAGE SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND
9CT YELLOW AND WHITE GOLD RING
This piece has an unusual elliptical design - two pear faceted dark blue sapphires are claw set horizontally, framed by two overlapping white gold surrounds into which 18 small round-cut diamonds are set. The dark blue sapphires total 0,22 carats and offset the sparkle of the diamonds, with the warmth of the yellow gold adding lustre and class. A slim gold shank holds the dainty ring head. The pedigree of the piece is shown in the hallmarks - '375' indicating 9ct gold, the Birmingham Assay mark, the jeweller's signature and the date 2003. I have had the ring jeweller tested and authenticated. Classic and dainty vintage English piece with an unusual design.
