 VINTAGE 9CT YELLOW GOLD SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND CHEVRON RING. 375. INTRICATE OPENWORK DETAILING ON THE BRIDGE. DAINTY, CLASSIC PIECE.

Dainty and pretty, this collectable little vintage English ring is crafted in 9ct yellow gold in a rather appealing 'V' shape, or a "chevron'. It bears a trilogy of round faceted natural blue sapphires, separated by two small round cut diamonds and 9ct yellow gold rounded spacers. The ring's colouring is a classic combination of deep blue, warm gold and icy white, and the bridge features intricate openwork detailing classic of its vintage era. I found this piece at a vintage jeweller in Birmingham, the Jewellery Quarter of England's Midlands but in fact it heralds from London. The pedigree is evident in the many hallmarks on the piece: the jeweller's signature, 375 indicating 9ct gold, the London Assay mark, and the date mark for 1985. The ring head measures 16mm across x 2mm long, and the piece weighs a dainty 1,4 grams.
