Acrylic paint is a fast-drying paint containing pigment suspended in an acrylic polymer emulsion – thus, a water based paint, as opposed to slow drying oil paints.

Acrylic Paint, first made commercially available in the 1950s, has gained enormous popularity over the years. With its ability, depending on the Acrylic Medium used, to resemble anything from watercolour to impasto oil paint, Dala Acrylic Paint is a uniquely versatile medium.

The main difference between acrylic paints and oil paints is in the drying time. The slow drying aspect of oil can be seen as an advantage for certain painters, but can act as an impediment to artists, trying to work fast. Acrylics also make the storage of artworks a lot easier, as work can be stored almost immediately after a painting session.

Dala Acrylics are highly pigmented paints with excellent flow. The paint is medium bodied and can be used successfully in a graphic or fine art application.
