Dalea purpureum Seeds

Purple Prairie Clover, Violet Prairie Clover

Dalea purpureum or Purple Prairie Clover as it is commonly known is very drought tolerant and showy, blooming all summer! The pinkish-purple blossoms on this perennial clover bloom at the base of the flower cone, and slowly ascend to the top. This wildflower was a favourite of Native Americans, which they used to treat wounds. It grows to a height of 30cm to 45 cm, should be spaced 40cm to 50cm apart in full sun to part shade.
