Dance Central was created by Harmonix, the developers who created Rock Band series, Rock Band 3 being the most recent release.  What makes Dance Central so exciting is that it is the first video game which truly tracks the full body dance motions of the user.  Dance Central is unlike most other video games which rely on a controller and / or a dance mat.  Dance Central, through the Xbox 360 Kinect technology and cameras, is able to scan the user’s motions in real time.  This is a revolutionary way to play dance video games, and can actually help people to learn to dance better.

Dance Central has over 90 dance routines which have been created by professional choreographers.  Tracks included feature today’s current pop, R&H, and hip-hop artists such as Lady Gaga, M.I.A., No Doubt, Nelly Furtado, Beenie Man, Nina Sky, and many more.  There are over 600 moves the user will get to try out.  “The Break I t Down” and “Perform It” games will help to teach these moves to the user, so he or she can ultimately master the dance routines.  Of course, the user can always simply jump right in without any tutorials.

Who says exercise has to be  a chore?  Dance Central is a fun way to dance, and an excellent way to burn up some calories.
