A Davis & Son Derby Mine Surveyor's Compass encased in a mahogany wood case. I'm unsure of it's age as there is no date or number on it. It may even be 19th Century. It is an interesting item as the East and West bearings are reversed for a very interesting reason. One of the filaments is loose but can be easily repaired.
