The "De Oorlog" has 256 pages, richly illustrated with iconic Anglo-Boer War photos, numerous illustrations and photogravures, with a wealth of information on Boer Republics (and President Kruger) prior to and during the 2nd Boer War.  An uncommon half-cloth binding with marbled hardcovers, in good condition, last page features the music and lyrics to 'Een lied aan fier Transvaal'.

EERSTE VERVOLG op De Oorlog in Zuid-Afrika, this booklet is the first of 8 separate booklets supplementing the original publication. Original pictorial wrappers, pagination of the booklet starts with page 3 and the last page features the music and lyrics to 'De Vierkleur van Transvaal', some loose pages, spine has been reinforced with Japanese rice paper.
