About the Artwork: 

This artwork depicts three key tribal deities that are worshipped by a primitive culture or ethnic group. The demi-god on the left represents fire, blood (warmth) and fertility (procreation). The one in the centre signifies strength (power), immortality and omnipotence. And to the right stands the ruler of the stars, the Underworld and earthly cataclysims. By serving these divine beings, the tribe secures its ongoing life cycle - its reign into the timeless future. Like the old Greek Gods such as Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, the Sphinxes and the like, these divine beings require equal 'servings' of ritual, adoration, worship and prayer by the tribesmen. In an ancient world where science is absent and logic is still intimately fused with myth, Man remains slave to Gaia - eternally indebted to the unpredictability (chaos) of the cosmic universe.
