Jacket condition: Tiny scuff on hinge of the front panel. Mild creasing to head and foot of the spine, with a small closed tear to each. Top edge of front flap lightly creased, with a couple of tiny closed tears. Price clipped. Top edge of rear flap creased and somewhat scuffed with small tiny tears and a couple of small chips. A couple of superficial scratches (indentations only). Jacket age-toned on the inside around the upper and lower edges, with light scuffing to head of spine and hinge of rear flap (inside only).
Book condition: Boards still reasonably clean and bright; one or two tiny inconspicuous marks on the front panel; very light soiling to the foot; very light fading and light bump to head. Corners still sharp. Foot very lightly shelf-rubbed, but not scuffed or frayed at all. Gilt lettering on spine crisp and intact. Top edge of text-block foxed. Front and rear endpapers crisp and clean. Small, faint yellow stain on fore-edge of p. 135; otherwise text-block internally clean; no foxing, no inscriptions, no underlining or highlighting, no annotations or marginalia. Six sets of black and white photographic plates intact. Binding is secure, intact; text is complete: no missing, loose, or torn pages.
