A tusk etched with elephants and mounted on a brass stand. I am told that this is possibly a hippo tooth. It has certainly been decorated very well, and is a lovely display item.
The surprising fact is the original price tag still under th item: R2816!! This was no doubt aimed at the tourist market. Here it is at a fraction of the price for a grand display to anyone's collection!
It is in excellent condition, and measures 27.5cm from the tip to the edge of the brass stand, and 14cm high.
