These ZAR medals were struck for the “Spoorweg Feesten” at Pretoria for the railway festivities of 1895.

They are the same size as a Paul Kruger Half Crown and also struck in sterling silver. Two varieties are known: This is type 1 where the date (Juli 1895) is between the letters “P” & “E”. Some scuff marks on the obverse and reverse but overall in Extremely Fine condition.
