DELICATE BRIGHT BLUE SAPPHIRE

Elegant and dainty in design, this ring features one blue sapphire and two white gemstones set in 9ct yellow gold. The central stone is an oval faceted blue sapphire, set horizontally between 2 x round cut diamonds. The sapphire is a particularly pretty mid-blue colour, which stands out well against the yellow gold claw setting. The sapphire is not a very clear gemstone as it contains a lot of interesting inclusions - as you can see in the photographs. I have no idea what the white gemstones are - but l can tell you they are not diamonds! The shank of the ring is simple and nice and solid, connecting to the ring head with a soft twist along the shoulders. The ring head presents itself 5mm high above the finger. Its a pretty ring.
Its a vintage piece and the hallmarks are really indistinct. I can make out the hallmarks for 9ct yellow gold ( 375 ), the jeweller's signature and the London assay mark.
Sapphire is a September birthstone, and is known to facilitate self-expression, assisting in communication and expressing your truth and beliefs. An April birthstone, diamonds are a symbol for purity, strength and love.
