DELUXE 1ST EDITION! WH COETZER IN PRINT COMPLETE OEUVRE OF GRAPHIC WORKS COMPILED BY MARIUS STANZ, LIMITED TO 1 COPY. SIGNED BY COETZER FAMILY,  BRONZE PLATE OF COETZER SIGNATURE, HARD COVER, LEATHER BOUND, IN ORIGINAL SLIPCASE, IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, 214 PAGES,

Willem Hermanus Coetzer was born in Tarkastad in the Eastern Cape on 9 November 1900. His first artistic guidance came from his mother: An artist herself, she encouraged him to try his hand at painting. At the age of 18 years he made his first painting; a rose. With the necessary financial aid from art lovers such as Alfred Palmer and Ernest Lezard, Coetzer was able to study art in London, where he won a first prize, as well as a medal, for his still life, The Dusty Shelf, which was bought by the Johannesburg Art Gallery. His paintings are exhibited in museums, art galleries, and private collections all over South Africa and the world. Coetzer was the designer of the Voortrekker Monument tapestries, and did paintings of the Great Trek, such as For Thee, South Africa, which can be seen in the former TPA Building in Pretoria. The aim of WH Coetzer in Print is to introduce the complete oeuvre of the graphic art of W H Coetzer to a wider public.
