The MT1879 DM is a 4000 count auto ranging multimeter, with manual override. This meters offer s a great feature of measuring frequency on AC voltage and current with the range of 50Hz to 400Hz. The large LCD display with clear range annunciations and backlight ensure that readings are easy to read under all circumstances. This meter ensures that if the rotary switch is turned in any direction whilst signals less than 1000V AC/DC are input into the meter, the meter will not be damaged. It is even protected against measuring voltage if the knob is set on the ohms range accidentally. The MT1879 offers features of Data Hold, Relative Mode, Frequency measurement with Duty Cycle and Capacitance. The inclusion of the Capacitance range allows the user to conveniently carry out capacitance measurements without having to carry a separate instrument. The MT1879 offers all measurements of AC and DC voltage up to 1000V and current up to 10 Amps, Resistance, plus a diode test function and continuity buzzer. A new feature is NCV where if an AC voltage above 110V is detected, a red LCD backlight will be lit. The MT1879 has the added function of temperature measurement in either °C or °F, with a range from -20 °C up to 760 °C. An adaptor is supplied with the meter which converts the 4mm input to accept K-Type thermocouples. |
