DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
DESCRIPTION	An unframed original oil painting (still life) of A COMPOSITION OF A SKULL, BOOKS, CANDLESTICK, COMPASS AND GLASSES (MASONIC SYMBOLS) painted by the well known South African artist - known for his excellent still - life artworks, Denzil Herring (1940 - 2008). It is done on artist's board (treated canvass on board). The artist signed this work at bottom left and it is undated, but painted during the 1970s which was the artist's most productive period. The unframed painting measures 500 x 600 mm. See the 3 images which follow for more detail and if unsure of anything please ask a question.
CONDITION	This painting is in excellent condition. The paint is still bright and without loss.

NOTES
A beautiful and perfectly executed still life artwork by an artist whose works are very popular and are constantly going up in value. This objects in this painting depict Masonic symbols of a 3 rd degree nature. All the symbols are steeped in Free Mason allegory. The artist frequently used Masonic symbols in his art and his artworks can be found in several Free Mason lodges in South Africa (thanks to BOB seller 'Gold and silver coin co.' for this information).
