The Carol Boyes paperknife seems as if it could have been a corporate gift as the letters BOE are on the blade but slightly faded. The knife carries the Carol Boyes stamp on the handle.
The paperweight replica of the railway spike is the same length as an original spike. I have taken a photograph with an original. The original IS NOT included in the listing but merely for illustration purposes.
There are no scratches on the railway spike. There are no stamps on the railway spike so I can’t say that it is made from. There are however two rows of minute symmetrical dots imprinted on the back of the spike. See photo. One row has more dots than the second row.
The item has been in storage for a long time but there are no signs of any rust. It weighs 350 grams.
