This is a desoldering pump with a built-in heating element. Use it to simultaneously melt and remove solder, of a soldered joint, from the surface of a PCB.
Instructions:
1) Compress the spring of the desoldering pump by pressing down the black knob, towards the tip of the pump, until it latches.
2) Melt the solder, which you want to remove, by touching the soldered joint with the hot, hollow tip of the desoldering pump.
3) Remember to hold the desoldering pump perpendicular to the surface area of the PCB while desoldering.
4) While the solder is molten, hold the pump steady and press the yellow vacuum button so that the molten solder is sucked through the hollow tip and into the pump.
