Please note: This diamond has been clarity enhanced and as such can only be graded by IGL or some other overseas Laboratories.

My supplier has found that IGL gives the better grading, however they do consistently grade higher than South African Grading Laboratories, which will only give an opinion on Clarity enhanced diamonds.

South African laboratories will only appraise clarity enhanced diamonds if they first deboil the diamond and take it back to it's pre-clarity enhanced state. South African labs as well as GIA do not have an SI3 grade and so would certainly grade this diamond as I1 or even I2, the colour may also be changed to an F or G.
