Sweet William [ Dianthus Barbatus ] is native to Europe. It has an attractive, 45cm dome of a myriad of beautiful flower colors. The brilliant little flowers have fringed petals of red, pink, purple or violet. The flowers are very sweetly scented. Sweet William [ Dianthus Barbatus ] is technically a biennial, but reseeds itself for flowers year after year, so it is a biennial which acts as a perennial by re-seeding itself.. Shearing spent blossoms will encourage blooms for another year. The plant makes a nice cut flower with a vase life of 7 to 10 days. The plant is easy to grow. The plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and birds. The plant is one of the best, longest lasting cut flowers available
