Dianthus chinensis dwarf
Cheerful single blooms in many different shades from white to pale pink to carmine red. Blooms are steadily produced until frost. Easy to grow plantsExcellent for use in beds, borders, containers and rock gardens. Plants are long bloomers through summer and autumn and stems are excellent for fragrant, long-lasting and attractive cut flowers.
Sow in seedling trays (see our Plastic Seedling Trays) or seed beds. Cover with dry manure or compost about 6mm deep. Do not keep soil too moist during germination. When planting out space the rows 30cm apart with 25cm between plants. Remove spent blooms quickly to ensure a prolonged flowering period.
