Importrant to note: Because Silica is the base of DE and is very light, when more weight is achieved in the same size container, the Silica content is less. Therefore, in this case, less is more. You cannot get 2L of cold drink into a 1L bottle. The average mass of DE is half that of water. Therefore in a 1kg tub you should get between 450 and 600 grams depending on the quality. The higher the quality the less the weight.

There are those sellers who are not honest in there claims, therefore
- Always check the weight of the container before breaking the seal.
- Do not accept DE that has been laced with clay to boost the weight.
- DE should be pure. No clay, grass or other foreign matter
