A VINTAGE BEER TANKARD MANUFACTURED DURING THE 1950's BY ARTHUR WOOD & SON (LONGPORT) Ltd AS PART OF THEIR DICKENS SERIES DECORATED WITH SCENERY FROM THE CHARLES DICKENS NOVELS ON TWO SIDES. ONE BEING "OLIVER ASKS FOR MORE" AND THE OTHER BEING "DAVID DINES WITH MICOWBER" THE TANKARD HAS BEEN DESIGNED IN THE CLASSICAL MANNER WITH A GRADUATED BASE AND GOLD BANDS UPON THE C-SCROLL HANDLE AS WELL AS ALONG THE RIM
STAMPS/MARKS ETC : THE TANKARD IS STAMPED UNDERNEATH - "QUALITY, ARTHUR WOOD, MADE IN ENGLAND"
CONDITION : THE TANKARD HAS SOME FINE CRAZING UNDERNEATH THE BASE
