Dagboek 1: Bamboesberg Uitgewers, 1961, 1st edition, good hard cover without dust jacket, ex library, with usual stamps and marks, front cover has some stains and spots as pictured, spine edge rubbed, corners bumped, cover grubby, edges have some dings. Internally neat and tight, it appears that the spine has been neatly re-glued, text block is pleasantly mellow with no other inscriptions, foxing or stains, neat and acceptable, 192 pp.
Dagboek 2: Bamboesberg Uitgewers, 1972, 1st edition, Good+ hard cover without dust jacket, ex library with usual marks and stamps. Cover grubby, especially back cover, edges rubbed and corners bumped, internally neat, mellow and tight, no further marks, spots or foxing, 220 pp.
Dagboek 3: Bamboesberg Uitgewers, 1975, 1st edition good+ hard cover without dust jacket, ex library with the usual stamps and markings, covers grubby, especially back cover with has a small glue stain, edges rubbed and corners lightly bumped, internally mellow and tight, neat and secure, without any further stains, inscriptions of foxing, 209 pp.
All books are in the Afrikaans language. In particular, Dagboek 2 is extremely scarce and a set of all three diaries are a valuable addition to any worthwhile collection of Johannes Meintjes' art and books.
