Die Heuwels Fantasties are...Hunter Kennedy ¿¿ vocals, lyrics, bass, Pierre Greeff ¿¿ vocals, lyrics, acoustic guitar, Fred den Hartog ¿¿ lead guitar, production, Philip Erasmus ¿¿ drums and Johnny de Ridder ¿¿ production, mixing. Die Heuwels Fantasties was formed in the beginning of 2008 when both Hunter Kennedy- and Pierre Greeff¿¿s bands took a break. They formed their own record label, Supra Familias, at the same time. Hunter is currently also involved with Fokofpolisiekar and aKING and Pierre was in Lukraaketaar. The group describe their music as ¿¿melodic songs written on acoustic guitar, interpreted with electronic and organic instruments. You can call it pop.¿¿ Their highlights include:

Die Heuwels Fantasties collaborate with The Soweto Gospel Choir, HHP & JR to release the successful English single, Our Heritage. The song was released as a free download to promote the Braai4Heritage initiative on Heritage Day.

Performances at the Union Buildings on Freedom day, where President Zuma addressed the South Africa, Coca-Cola Zero fest, Oppikoppi and other major events.

Gold status album sales for Die Heuwels Fantasties (Debut Album) Tour to the Netherlands, Belgium and UK in July.

Die Heuwels Fantasties (English: The Hills Fantastic) are a side project of one member of the duo act Lukraaketaar and two members of Fokofpolisiekar. They use elements of acoustic music evident from their Lukraaketaar-heritage, underlined by synthesized and electronic sounds. Their genre can be interpreted as containing elements of synthetic, acoustic, and pop music, with less emphasis on the acoustic part. Songs available for download at their MySpace.
