This converter will decode digital Coaxial RCA Dolby digital or Optical Toslink Dolby digital audio to analogue RCA (Red/White - Left/Right) audio. It is commonly used to connect an Apple TV or HDTV with optical toslink audio output to an amplifier which has analogue Audio (Red/White) inputs.
