Attach the strap around your left arm approximately 1cm below your wrist bone with palm facing up. Use average pressure when applying the strap -- too tight or too loose may give incorrect readings. Then only switch the device on to start reading. You will hear the automatic pump and feel the strap tightening around your wrist followed by blood pressue reading and heart rate reading. For consistency always stay very still during readings and take a couple readings to compare as blood pressure varies. IMPORTANT Device must not be switched on when not around wrist as this will lead to an error condition - to reset (remove and reinstall batteries) Always use good quality alkaline batteries which give about 100 readings to a battery set.
