Digital PH Meter - Certified by CE and ROHS
PH002-ATC digital PH tester is the latest model with ATC upgraded, the Auto Calibration Button is applied for easy operation, also the new NTC sensor which is made of temperature inductive alloy provides quicker and more accurate ATC (Image 2 avove) while in some other manufacturers' products the plastics were used. ATC, automatic temperature compensation, adjusts the PH value difference caused by the change of temperature.
This digital PH meter package includes:
- One device with 2 batteries
- One plastic box
- One manual
- Two sachets of PH buffer powder (PH 4.01 and 6.86) for calibration, PH 9.18 one is also available for optional purchase below.
Specifications:
- Testing range: 0.00 - 14.00 PH
- Working temperature: 0 - 50 degree
- Batteries: 2x 1.5V (AG13 or LR44 button type, included in the device)
- Dimension: 152x30x15 (mm)
- Weight: 50 grams
- Resolution: 0.01 PH (20 degree)
- Accuracy: ± 0.01 PH
Importance:
- The glass electrode is fragile, avoid to be touched or hit, always keep the cap closed while not using, no guarantee for its damage.
- The device is pre-calibrated by the manufacturer, not necessary to calibrate it before using.
- The calibration is recommended, after 2 to 3 months if the testing has not be done too often, or the accuracy required.
- Calibrate the tester with PH 6.86 buffer powder firstly, then the PH 4.01 or PH 9.18 ones.
- Should the sample to be tested be acidic, the tester can be calibrated with buffer powder of PH 4.01 and 6.86, while it's alkaline, PH 6.86 and 9.18 ones can be used for calibration. Calibration with these three types of buffer powder is recommended if the tester will be used to test the PH of acid and alkaline.
- Maintenance, should the device is not used for long period, simply test it with the clean water every half month.
- Sway the device gently against the tested liquid while testing, then stop and take the reading.
Calibration (our products only, the seller's experience):
- Prepare two glasses of 250ml distill or purified water and another glass for rinsing the electrode. Add PH 6.86 and 4.01 buffer powder into each glass and stir the liquid till the powder is fully dissolved.
- Switch on the device.
- Immerse the electrode into PH 6.86 liquid, stir gently then hold it till the digital readout is unchanged, ignore the figure.
- Keep the electrode in the liquid while press and hold the CAL button till the screen is switched off itself (about 4 or 5 seconds, the device goes into calibration status and identifies PH 6.86, 4.01 or 9.18 liquid automatically), the digital reading of 6.86 is now flashing, do not take out the device from the liquid until the reading is unchanged at 6.86, this step is completed.
- Rinse the electrode in the glass of distill or purified water, shake out the water on the electrode.
- Do the same as above Step 3 and 4 into PH 4.01 or 9.18 liquid, the difference is when the CAL button is released or after the screen is switched off itself, there is flashing reading of 6.86, at this moment, release the CAL button if still holding then press it quickly once (for PH4.01) or twice (for PH9.18), this has to be done while the reading of 6.86 is still in flash, this time is short and limited. Keep the device in the liquid till the eading is unchanged at 4.01 or 9.18. Then calibration is completed.
Optional Purchase of Spare Batteries and Extra Buffer Powder:
The spare batteries (2 required) and additional buffer powder (sachets of PH 4.01, 6.86 and 9.18 to be selected) are available to purchase if needed while checking out. PH 9.18 buffer powder is recommended if the tester is used for alkaline, such as pond water of which week alkaline is preferred by fishes. You may also go to our selling list to buy the Buffer Powder of your quantities of sachets, "Add to cart" works different items you purchase in one order with no extra shipping cost.
Story:
It is the most important to test the water PH before keeping the gold or koi fishes in the pond. Once I brushed a layer of hydro sealant to my pond, afterwards I washed the pond many times and kept the water in the pond for a week then drained out. Before I transferred the gold and koi fishes into the pond, I even added half pond with the old water which the fishes were living. Unfortunately all fishes died overnight because of high PH (was tested later at 11). The PH can not be guessed, it has to be tested. The images showed the PH testing results after I repaired my fish ponds.
This PH tester can also be used to test PH for cold drink and juice, watered chemicals and pharmaceuticals, swimming pool and tap water, etc. Calibration should be done regularly while testing in the labs and accuracy required.
Guarantee:
30 days replacement guarantee, but NOT cover the damage of the glass electrode.
