The salinometer is EU approved. The salinity tester can be applied for the test of salt concentration in businesses and industries, such as tag water monitoring, aquiculture, environmental protection, printing and dyeing, electroplate, food and beverage process, as well as in the labs.
Salinity value conversion:
- PPM, Parts of Per Million; PPT, Parts of Per Thousand; mg/L, milligram per liter.
- 1 mg/L = 1 ppm, 1 g/L = 1 ppt
- 10 ppt = 10,000 ppm = 10,000 mg/L = 10 g/L = 10 Kg/cubic meter = 1%
- 100 ppt = 100 g/L = 100 Kg/cubic meter = 10%

Koi pond salinity:
It's recommended that the salinity would be kept at 0.1% to 0.3% for the kois, which means to add 1 Kg to 3 Kg coarse salt (not processed, natural) per 1000 kg water, i.e. per cubic meter. In another words, it's 1000 mg/L to 3000 mg/L. To view Image 3 above.
