It can be grown in full sun, and full or part shade, and produces many hanging tubular flowers along a tall spike. The Inside of the flower is speckled along the lower part of the of tube.
They bloom summer and will grow in about any soil. They are drought tolerant, but do just fine in more damp weather too. They are easy to grow and reseed readily.
Likes nitrogen. Seeds are small and should just be lightly raked into soil surface. They can be planted in the fall or in the spring
