Light intensity sideways slightly less that standard 50W halogen though quite acceptable. Not a problem at all for normal applications.

This is one of the best direct bulb replacements for a 50W halogen down lighter that I have seen. Most similar bulbs just don't quite make it. Nice evenly distributed warm light. The warm white option is a very close match to the original halogen and uses 88% less power,
