Dinky Toys – #139 – Ford Consul Cortina made in England by Meccano between the years of 1963 and 1964! The body is Pale Blue, Interior is a creamy off while colour, the metal spun wheels have been painted yellow and are shod with the original tyres which are NOT cracked at all! The model must have been a boys toy which he decorated, but it seems careful restoration was attempted in later years! I have only lightly cleaned the model! The rear suspension needs some TLC, otherwise, except for no original box, the model is 100% complete with steering wheel and front seat back rests! I am sure there are no missing bits! The plastic windows don’t show any sign of yellowing and I would rate the glass as “Very Good”! I estimate the model to 1:43 scale! The base is stamped metal!
