Packet of 25 seeds
Closely related to Lithops, these plants occur in the northwestern parts of the Northern Cape Province and also in the southeastern parts of Namibia. They flower in March/April (southern hemisphere)
Not recomended for beginners, these seeds are extremely fine (like dust!!) and have a reputation of being difficult to germinate. (although I have found them not to be so difficult at all, once given the right conditions) They require quite high day temperatures and low night tempratures for good germination. I have had the best results during the months of February/March and also September/October. Seedlings must be raised at high light levels to form strong and healthy plants, but at the same time care must be taken not to burn them in too much sun.
Dinteranthus seeds remain viable for many years if stored in a cool and dry place.
