These capsules are a perfect fit for all the "old" R5.00 coins (including Mandela 2000 and inauguration 1994 releases) but NOT the "new" Mandela 90th Birthday R5.00, which is smaller (25.5mm diameter) and thicker.

I ordered these capsules (without rings) for the new Mandela R5.00, and it wouldn't seal properly because the new Mandela R5.00 is smaller than the older R5.00 coins. If you want air-tites for the new Mandela R5.00, please check out my other listings for the ones with the rings, which is the only perfect fit!

More about air-tite coin holders
Air-Tite Coin Holders are made of Acrylic with a non-yellowing agent. The end product is a hard, crystal clear, two piece, snap together cover and base. The foam rings are made of Volara and serve two purposes; they secure the coin in the holder and create an attractive border to accent the coin. Neither contain any PVC products, and they provide superior long-term protection for your entire collection.

There are two main types of Air-Tite Coin Holders, the Direct Fit Air-Tites and the Ring Type Air-Tite Coin Holders
