Codemasters' long-running rally series returns with more than double the track content of previous titles, seeing players tear through the driving showcases of the globe.

Originally starting life as Colin McRae Rally, the well-regarded rally series has gone on to encompass the ins and outs of the entire rally world, with DiRT 3 now offering players more locations, events and locations than previous games in the series. More than 50 rally cars are available in total, each representing the best moments from five decades of the sport. Players now start at the top of their career as a professional driver, taking part in typical off-road racing alongside Gymkhana-style showpiece driving events.

As players compete in each professional event they will tour the stages of Europe, Africa and the US, where players can complete performance driving showcase events and career challenges that test the power and handling of each rally car provided.

DiRT 3 sees the rally series take a step towards the more focused, career-based gameplay of older titles in Codemasters' series while keeping the fast-paced style of the DiRT games firmly intact.
