Comprehensive detail on the efforts made to refurbish each movie is listed below these rules.

Every time someone bids on a movie and not pay, I loose 9 weeks (more than 2 months !!!!!!!!):

- 3 weeks for initial bid time
- 2 weeks to wait for payment after bidding closes
- I send a reminder email
- wait another 2 weeks for a reply on reminder
- raise a sale not completed at bid or buy
- wait another 2 weeks for sale not completed to be authorized.

This gets even worse when people want to combine shipping: then more than one movie is witheld from everyone, and the timewasting period increases to over 3 months.

So; after such people wasted my time for more than 2 months do I restart this cycle.

Requiring payment in 4 days reduces this timewasting period from 9 weeks to 7 weeks.

New payment rules for all bids placed after 26 August 2009.

You can combine winning bids up to 21 days; other people allow mostly 14 days.

ALL bids won must be paid within 4 days after winning the bid. This is VERY easy to achieve; just check the status of your bids won every day; takes mere seconds.

I can no longer wait 3 weeks for payment after asking nicely to please pay; raise SNCs and then wait another 2 weeks.

( You only have to pay postage when you finished winning enough bids to justify posting it. Paying postage is a WAVING flag to me: buyer wants these movies posted NOW. )

( Cash deposit buyers are welcome to deposit extra cash - to save banking fees that you will pay if you deposit cash after every bid you won. I will keep track of your available balance; I am sure you will as well.

Cash deposit buyers are welcome to pay the R 35 postage - when they pay for the first item they won; they might not win other bids; so they can just email me when they want their items posted. )

A 'Sale Not Completed' will be raised for all won bids not paid within 4 days.

YOU ARE REQUIRED to pay within 4 days after you won bids.

( Some other sellers require payment in 2 to 3 days, before they raise a Sale not Completed against you. )

Please note that I DO NOT CHARGE a packing fee per movie.

Just one movie gets posted in a heavily extra padded envelope; but the PO charges econoparcel rates. 2 and more movies are posted in boxes.

Each Movie DVD sold by myGems is refurbished as follows:

- Each DVD case is checked to be free from breakage

- Each DVD case is washed with Mr Muscle and Handy Andy

- Each DVD itself is wiped clean with a damp cloth

- Each DVD itself is 5-stage polished with a VERY expensive Azuradisc machine to remove all scratches

- Around 50 percent of the DVDs sold by myGems have a small 1 by 2 cm sticker with the movie's rental price. Removing this stubborn sticker WILL damage your neat and clean cover ... so I decided NOT to remove these stickers.

Each Movie DVD sold by myGems is guaranteed as follows:

- All movies are (South Africa) Region 2 and were bought from Ster Kinekor or Nu Metro

- There is no writing on the outside of the DVD case

- There is no writing on the DVD movie itself

- The movie is 95 percent guaranteed scratch free: Less than 5 percent of the movies have some minor shallow machine-created scratches.

The DVD's number used for rental purposes ARE left on the inside of the DVD case - since unfortunately it was written using permanent ink.

- A fortunate byproduct of the cleaning process is that your movie SMELLS nice.
