On auction is this GMAM Garratt 117 in assembled running condition. PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT THIS LOCO IS COMPLETE. The only original parts is the front bogie complete with wheels; the water tender; the smoke box baseplate; the rear bogie complete with wheels and the coal tender. Missing parts is the trailing bogey on the front set of wheels and the four wheel bogey on the rear driving wheel sets ( see yellow circles).I molded some parts out of plastic, The smoke box and cab is from an old American loco. I will include the original smoke box of this loco if you can find a cab to fit with it. The number plates are not original only there to complete the detail. Paintwork/decals are in good condition.This loco was tested lubricated and it operates fairly good in both direction. It still needs a bit of fine tuning as these self assembled units needs ongoing attention. It measures 345mm and is fitted with a standard Lima type couplers at the rear. This unit looks just like the real thing when operating on a layout for a fraction of the selling price of an original complete unit that can reach up to 10k.
