  • Acknowledgements

  • Foreword

  • Additional foreword by the editor/publisher

  • Index of players

  • Introduction

  • Editor's note

  • Autographs

  • The three periods of our history

  • The Captains

  • The individual players

  • The unfortunates

  • The youngest Springbok

  • The greatest teams to leave our shores

  • The Springboks today

Additional foreword is to assist reader in following the sequence of the boob:

  1. The Captains: Doc Craven insisted, and quite rightly so, that every player who had been appointed as a Springbok captain should be appear in the book. After all, as Doc says: "They were the men who lead us to glory"

  2. The individual players: As in the case of the captains each individual player appears in the sequence that he was selected to play for his country.

  3. The Springboks today: Although this chapter forms the last part of the book it is probably the most fascinating. Many of the Springboks countrywide were kind enough to send me up-to-date photographs of themselves and their families.
