HARD COVER WITH MATCHING SLIPCASE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, 216 PAGES, COLLECTOR'S EDITION. A guide to the 380 known works that were cast, or intended for casting, during sculptor Edoardo Villa's lifetime. Edoardo Villa was born in Italy in 1915. During the Second World War he was brought to South Africa as a prisoner of war and interned at the Zonderwater Camp near Pretoria. After his release in 1947 he remained in South Africa, where he became one of the most noted abstract sculptors of his time. He died in 2011.
