This beautifully made necklace has been created out of 7mm natural round pearls, hand-knotted into a glorious long 82 cm (820 mm) length. The jeweller has incorporated 4 x solid sterling silver round shaped double-walled pendant-like features into the necklace. Each pendant/bead is 15 mm in diameter. They have rounded corners, slightly domed on with of the 'tops', with a solid smaller central round shape that is gold hued. It has a hammered texture (but is smooth to the touch) and a filigree design, framed by a border of openwork curlicues. Double-walled, each pendant/bead is 6mm deep. The closure is unusual. It comprises a solid sterling silver thumb-release spring catch that releases a single sturdy pin inside. The necklace itself is all handmade by a master jeweller who designs and creates his pieces using traditional methods and old-school attention to detail. The necklace weighs a heavy 55,28 grams. Being hand-knotted, it is has a beautiful soft flexible feel to it, unlike 'fashion' pearl necklaces that can be a little stiff in structure. You can actually scrunch this one into a ball without doing damage! The weight makes sure that the necklace hangs well and sits comfortably on the neck.
