DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
DESCRIPTION	This is a smallish original oil painting (done on card) of a West Coast fishing cottage with fishing boats next to it. Painted by Douglas Walls who signed this artwork in the bottom right corner. It is undated, but I would say that it was painted in the 1960s or 1970s and later varnished over and framed and protected by glass. The painting you are buying is thus framed, has a mount and is glass - protected (framed like a watercolour, even though it is an oil painting). The whole painting measures 32 x 42 cm and the artwork alone measures 22.5 x 31.5 cm (thus horizontal in format). See the 4 images which follow for more detail.
CONDITION	This artwork is in good condition and can be hung as it is. The over - varnishing was done quite thickly and this has caused very slight craquelure on the thick dark paint on the cottage roof, but this does little to detract from this lovely artwork.

NOTES
A really lovely little oil painting executed by an artist who is obviously very skilled in painting in impressionist style. The sort of painting that will appeal to any decorator / collector who has a feel for art with a good composition, great colour use and which leaves the observer some leeway for creative impressionism. Personally I really like this work and would have kept it if I had the space for it!
