Dr Boxall's Green Coffee Bean contains unroasted coffee beans which are high in chlorogenic acid, that promotes weight loss by reducing your body¿s absorption of fats and glucose. Chlorogenic acid is a natural compound found in the raw green coffee beans but when the coffee beans are roasted, the chlorogenic acid is mostly destroyed. So, any weight loss benefit from drinking regular coffee (i.e. coffee brewed from roasted coffee bean) would be mostly non-existent. Chlorogenic acid has specifically been shown to inhibit an enzyme, glucose-6-phosphatase,that promotes the formation of glucose (sugar) in the liver. Hence, chlorogenic acid in coffee may be responsible, at least in part, for the reduced risk of glycemic disorders, like diabetes, with long-term coffee consumption. How chlorogenic acid works for weight loss is hypothesized to be that by slowing down the absorption of glucose in the blood-stream, the chlorogenic acid ultimately results in a reduction in the absorption of fat. Various studies have suggested that chlorogenic acid slows absorption of fat from food intake and also activates metabolism of extra fat. Unfortunately, traditional brewed coffee doesn¿t serve as a good source of chlorogenic acid.

Directions
