 LOOPED DESIGN LARGE OPENWORK STERLING SILVER RING WITH RUBIES, EMERALDS, SAPPHIRES AND MARCASITES.

This rather striking broad band piece makes use of a lot of openwork in the design which features sterling silver teardrops that loop, alternating facing up and down. Each teardrop has a notched, textured border on the inside and the outside of the teardrop shape, with 3 round faceted marcasites at the bottom of each teardrop. An oval faceted gemstone is claw set in the middle of each looped shape -  a ruby, emerald or sapphire, almost floating within the space. The shank is literally only a frame - narrow at the bottom for comfort, but widening swiftly to the 21mm length. The beautifully crafted piece weighs a hefty 8,94 grams and sits snugly and comfortably on the finger. The 24mm wide x 21mm long ring head is quite domed, and sits 6mm above the finger. The piece bears the 925 hallmark indicating sterling silver. Its a real showstopper of a jewellery piece, beautifully detailed.
