Handcrafted by a jeweller in America, this 'jewellery art' piece is an unusual celebration of mother nature as it comes out of the earth. The main stone is an enormous natural unfaceted aquamarine in the exact state that is comes out of the earth. Aquamarine is one of the most sought after of all gemstones. The jeweller has set it into a broadshank sterling silver ring that he has finished with a textured bark-like surface, adorned with slender strands of sterling silver that he has finished with a rose-gold hue bond. In addition, he has created hand-worked bezel settings to set 2 small natural songea sapphires and a garnet. Not surprisingly it is a big ring (26mm at the broadest point, 6 mm at the back and 16mm above the finger) but it is so solid (it weighs 18,4 grams) and so well constructed that it sits really well and comfortably on the finger.
