DREAMS AND NIGHTMARES
J. A. Hadfield

Condition: Good. Tight binding with minor spine crease and light edge wear. Toning to pages.

About the Book
In this concise and lucid study, psychiatrist J. A. Hadfield explores the mystery and function of the dream as both biological necessity and psychological revelation. Drawing on Freuds theory of wish fulfilment, Jungs archetypes, and Adlers concept of striving for power, Hadfield offers a balanced and accessible synthesis that frames dreaming as a vital component of the minds restorative and creative life.

The work traces the evolution of dream interpretation from primitive ritual to modern analysis, considering dreams relation to intuition, problem-solving, and the unconscious resolution of emotional tension. Throughout, Hadfield insists that to neglect our dreams is to disregard a fundamental form of human intuition an insight as relevant to science as to art.
