Dried Cranesbill / Geranium (Geranium maculatum) is said to be useful in the treatment of diarrhoea, dysentery, as well as haemorrhoids. Traditionally used to treat acute bronchitis, tonsillitis and sore throats.

USES & BENEFITS

INTERNALLY:

• May be used in the treatment of diarrhoea, dysentery, as well as haemorrhoids
• To treat acute bronchitis, tonsillitis and sore throat
• May assist with heavy menstruation
• Uterine bleeding
• Bladder inflammation

EXTERNALLY:

• Gargle for mouth ulcers
• Make poultice to staunch wounds

OTHER USES:

• For animals: for dysentery and diarrhoea
• Externally for infections of the mouth and throat and wounds

AS A TEA

1-2 Teaspoons with 1 cup cold water. Bring to the boil and let simmer for 10-15 min. Strain and drink 3 times a day.

• Do not use for longer than three weeks unless recommended by a qualified practitioner
